The BRV71 (screwed) and BRV73 (flanged) are SG iron bodied direct acting pressure reducing valves designed for applications using steam. The BRV71 and BRV73 pressure reducing valves are supplied with one of three color coded springs which are identified by the disc (13) located on the adjustment handwheel.

- PN16 body design conditions
- 16 bar g at 120 deg C Maximum allowable pressure
- 184 deg C at 10 bar g Maximum allowable temperature
- -10 deg C minimum allowable temperature
- 10 bar g Maximum operating pressure for saturated steam service
- Maximum recommended turndown ratio 10:1 at Maximum flow
- Designed for a Maximum cold hydraulic test pressure of 24 bar g
- Flanged weights are typical of the BRV73 model and the figures quoted are based on the PN16 version
- Aluminum spring housing
- Semi-rigid graphite laminated gasket
- 153 mm inlet top to inlet center
- 10 bar Maximum differential pressure
- Note: Where control spring ranges overlap always use the lower range to give better control
- Note: with internals fitted, test pressure must not exceed 16 bar g
