Steam operated pump traps discharges condensate even under stall conditions or vacuum. Under normal working conditions, the steam operated pump trap works as a normal float trap. During the stall situations, the condensate accumulation lifts the float to the maximum height and actuates the motive steam connection. The condensate accumulated inside is pumped out by the pressure of the motive steam.
